Osteoporosis International and Archives of Osteoporosis are joint publications of the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF) and the Bone Health & Osteoporosis Foundation (BHOF - formerly NOF). As one of the most influential peer-reviewed scientific journals in the bone field, Osteoporosis International, publishes a wide range of high-quality clinical research in the bone and musculoskeletal field. It is a leading forum for the communication of new research and guidance, and for the exchange of current ideas concerning the diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and management of osteoporosis and related metabolic bone diseases. Archives of Osteoporosis, with a growing impact factor, is a journal of choice to highlight national or regional guidelines, present specificities of different regions around the world concerning epidemiology, reference values for bone density and bone metabolism, as well as clinical aspects of osteoporosis and other bone diseases.

The journal Co-Editors in Chief, Professor John Kanis and Professor Felicia Cosman have recognized the two journals’ most oft-cited papers of 2015-2019 with Certificates of Publishing Excellence:

“We congratulate the authors of these notable publications and thank them for their valuable contributions. These are examples of the broad spectrum of high-quality clinical research which we are proud to publish in our journals.”
