Extraordinary response to WHO call for applications
The World Health Organization (WHO) Department of Maternal, Newborn, Child, Adolescent Health and Ageing recently issued a call for applications for the position of consultant to WHO in the framework of the five-year project which has been signed by ESCEO and WHO. We have just been informed that 520 candidates have applied for this important position which will contribute to WHO’s technical work for the development of the strategy roadmap to prevent fracture and fracture risk among older persons.
This is a tremendous success which also reflects the high level of interest in a landmark initiative that will help to prioritize osteoporosis and fractures within the global disease spectrum.
If you would like to learn more about the WHO five-year project, we invite you to attend a session organized by the World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Epidemiology of Musculoskeletal Health and Aging (Liège, Belgium) and ESCEO, to be held on May 4th at 16:20, immediately prior to the opening of the WCO-IOF-ESCEO 2023 Congress in Barcelona.
